You might know me as a teacher, grandma, poet, yarn-toting traveler and lover of good stories. Today, I'm adding a new title to that list: author.

My first book is coming out soon. Not a War Story, a memoir decades in the making. It weaves together my father's handwritten letters from Vietnam, his powerful personal manuscript, and my reflections as his daughter growing up on Navy bases during the 1960s. It's part history, part heart - definitely not just a war story.
